We love how intimate and personal this session is. If you’re struggling to choose a location for your engagement session, talk to you photographer! Tell them about some of your interests and the things you enjoy doing as a couple. They may have some great suggestions for you to help make your session more personal.

‘First of all, this couple is downright amazing and daring. Kaelyn wanted the PERFECT location for their session. She really really wanted willow trees at golden hour, and a friend of hers had some trees in her yard. So, Kaelyn and Brian drove to her friend’s the week of their session, and she texted me so excitedly. “It’s perfect, there are willow trees, a pond, a field, AND a row boat!” Then a half hour later I get another text. “Soooo that was my friend’s NEIGHBOR’S yard!”
Kaelyn had her friend ask the neighbor if we could use their property. They so sweetly obliged and said we could shoot wherever we wanted to! They even made Kaelyn’s dream come true by finding the oars to the row boat. This location fell into our laps, and it could not have been more perfect. I felt like I was in a scene from the Little Mermaid all evening! Kaelyn and Brian are huge water lovers, especially Lake Michigan, so to have a bit of water in their engagement session while still being close to home was perfect.’
Look at that sunset! The golden hour is one of the best times to have your photos taken – even on your wedding day! You can sneak out of your reception to snap a few quick photos with your new spouse. Trust us, you wont regret it!
